Q1: How to participate in the training programs that CSDITN offers?
There are two ways to participate in the training programs that CSDITN offers: by recommendation and by free registration. When recommended by the unit where one works, he or she should go to the CSDITN registration system to register with the elected program. On the other hand, one can also go to the CSDITN registration system to take the programs he or she is interested in. Once the online registration is completed and approved, an e-mail notification will be sent to the trainee as an admission letter, with which he or she is allowed to attend the program.
Q2: What should I do if I cannot attend the program after registration?
If a trainee is allowed to participate in the program by recommendation, he or she must fill out an alternation form, have it approved by his or her immediate supervisors, and fax it to CSDITN—followed by a confirmation call—3 days before the program begins. Please make sure to ask the person who wants to fill in the vacancy to sign up and complete the registration procedures, so as to facilitate the replacement arrangement and avoid from wasting resources for learning.
If a trainee is allowed to participate in the program by free registration, he or she must fill out a leave application and send it to CSDITN to notify our counsellors 2 days before the program begins. CSDITN will work on the replacement arrangement in accordance with rule of free registration. If a trainee fails to attend a program without informing CSDITN of the reason, CSDITN shall notify his or her immediate supervisors and set limit to his or her free registration in accordance with the following:
(1) For those who register with a program that lasts for 2 days or short than 2 days, the CSDITN registration system will keep them from free registration for 3 months, unless they take a leave for the sake of official matters.
(2) For those who register with a program that lasts longer than 2 days, the CSDITN registration system will keep them from free registration for 3 months in the two manners below, unless they take a leave for the sake of official matters:
A: Those who fail to attend any class of the program will be kept from free registration for 6 months.
B: Those who fail to attend more than 1/2 of the entire program will be kept from free registration for 3 months.
Q3: How should I ask for a leave if I cannot complete a program for any reason?
Trainees who cannot complete a program for any reason shall fill out a leave application and submit it to CSDITN counsellors to complete the application. To download related forms, please go to the CSDITN website and turn to “Trainee Services Center/File Download. Once the program is finished, CSDITN will send a written notice to the unit where you work.
